Spring in Åre

Hey there!

After taking a few weeks of skiing due to my concussion that I got in end of march in Laax I finally got to get back on my skis again! Wieehoo, what a feeling!

I went up to Åre to enjoy their last open weekend of the season, and it was so much fun! They had built a park on the very top of the mountain with lots of knuckles and trannies, but unfortunately the weather was a little bit cold so that part was mostly hard packed ice… So instead we spent our time in the lower part of the mountain where they have their normal park ”Bräckeparken” – and that was a slushy paradise!

We tried to beat the world record in how many people you can fit on a 3 meters long flat box. Do you think we are the new record holders, haha?

Tännforsen is close to Åre and it is one of Sweden’s biggest waterfalls (it’s the widest)

Freddie is not only a funky skier, he makes really cool jewelry out of old skateboards as well! If you’re interested you can get your piece by emailing him: freddie@grannart.com. Here’s Johan with two rings

Take care, cheers
