Big Air at Fenway | 2nd place

What just happened?

This was such boost! Dropping in in front of a wild crowd that was responding to your every move :D Wohooo, 15’442 people in the audience!

Yesterday night was one of the craziest competitions that’ve ever done. This arena is very iconic and historic to the ones who love baseball, and especially if you’re a Red Sox fan – so the fans were pretty lyric! Especially when the americans dropped in. I was dropping right after Devin Logan (USA), and she really got the fans hyped up and they were screaming out loud before her every run. You could nearly feel the scaffolding shaking from the cheering!

I tried to put down some tricks with less spins so I could focus on style and holding my grabs. And this time it was a successful concept. I landed all my three runs and my two best scores gave me a total of 173.0, which put me in 2nd when the night was over!

A big thank you to everyone who made this comp possible. It was an incredible feeling to compete in a Big Air with a crowd and I hope that it was not the last time that I get to experience that!

Results:
1. Lisa Zimmermann, 173.20
2. Emma Dahlström, 173.00
3. Tiril Sjåstad Christiansen, 160.80

I’m doing a 360 critical during practice for the finals. We didn’t get a lot of practice. About 3-4 runs before every competition. In total during practice, qualis and finals I made 17 hits on that jump! Not a lot :)

The podium, with Lisa, me and Tiril. Happy to end up next to these girls. Lisa really deserved the win after ballin’ out when she threw a big switch 720 at that jump, impressive!

Thank you Fenway! I really hope that I get the chance to come back some time. Really want to watch Red Sox play a game here sometime in the future, fresh thing on my bucket list.

Next up –> a world cup/test event for the Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea – very excited as I’ve never ever been skiing in Asia before. Stay tuned!
